New Tracks on Laurel Canyon Radio – Week of October 26

We are coming ever so close to our year anniversary on the air – and we still haven’t quite figured out how to celebrate….but we’ve added this collection of new music for you, so that’s a start!

  • “If You Go To LA” – Simone Felice

Almost a companion piece to Jim Croce’s “Operator”, head Felice Brother delivers a Laurel Canyon worthy ode to love lost to the city of Angels (up in them bloody hills) from his new solo double wide live release “From The Violent Banks of The Kaaterskill” featuring many other great Felice Brothers track and rerecorded with an eye on “Frampton Comes Alive” territory.

  • “Start Something”  –  Pagan Hellcatspagan

Durham’ NC indie Americana band score some “Unexpected” points on their sixties inspired pop country inspired debut.

  • “Smooth Sailin” – Leon Bridgesleon-bridges

An effortlessly beautiful soul classic, the second single from Bridges’ spectacular debut “Coming Home”.

  • “I’m Gonna Wait” – The Sweet Remains

Much anticipated harmony soaked new music from  The Sweet Remains is always welcome and this song from the recently released “Night Songs” doesn’t disappoint.   Not so much a CSNY reverie as a band coming into their own musically, we’ll take the 3 part soaring harmonies any way we can get them.  Looking forward to band member Brian Chartrand’s film debut coming up in 2016.

  • “Cold In Ohio” – Jamie Lawsonjamie lawson

So many great new tracks to pick from this week, we’ve decided to add a whole slew of new great music, but this lament to the change in the weather from Ed Sheeran protégé Jamie Lawson is available as a free download for joining the mailing list and a sad sweet lament that fits well into the British hushed vocal boom that is washing up on our shores these last few years.
