I imagine that this has historically always been a big week for birthdays in the Canyon and we’re happy to celebrate along with y’all, so Laurel Canyon Radio offers happy and hearty birthday wishes to JD Souther this Sunday, November 2, Glenn Frey next Thursday, Joni Mitchell next Friday, a trio of rockin’ ladies, Bonnie Raitt, Rickie Lee Jones and Bonnie Bramlett (of Delaney & Bonnie) celebrating next Saturday November 8, blues legend Susan Tedeschi next Sunday and then the following Wednesday, Neil Young celebrates his 69th birthday one week after the release of his 35th solo album “Storytone”. If you count the release of CSNY 1974, this will be Neil’s third release of the year. That’s one prolific birthday boy!
